Hi! I'm going to be starting at UMPI in summer 2 as a BAS student and am interested in taking science courses as prereqs for PA school. Does anyone have any experience w/ them? (especially things like chemistry, orgo, micro, genetics, pathophysiology)

Do not take UMPI's science course (there is only one YourPace science course). Take literally anything else from anywhere else.

None of those science courses are offered in UMPI's YourPace program. The science class offered on YourPace you don't want to take. You'd want to take the science courses on Sophia instead of UMPI. Study has even more science courses available. If this if for PA school, you'll need to find out if they accept ACE credits. UMPI only offers those sciences on campus.

If you need RA science credits from an actual college or university, your best bet would probably be to use TEL Learning, if possible. Maybe Arizona State University Universal Learner. Other than that, check your local community colleges for affordable classes. Finish your UMPI degree first, though.

@forkyspoony, you're going for a BAS with some minor or two, is this correct? What associates degree did you transfer into the BAS degree? It's a tad confusing why you're wanting to take science courses at UMPI, is this on site or online you're looking at? You've not filled in the template and last post addendum here:

If you're looking at the butt-in-seat onsite courses, you're paying too much, I would recommend doing the community college courses locally for much cheaper. If you're looking for the online YourPace option, there aren't any to select from, most people transfer credits into the BAS and BLS plus other offerings on YourPace. Are you doing a BAS, plus a 1 year pre-PA program?
