First of all, I wish I found this site eight years ago so I didn't have to spend so much time and money! I am a stay at home mom now and trying to get a BA in Business, or financial, or management category. I have earned a Accounting Diploma which contains 30-33 credits that is transferable to a local community college. Mostly core area. However, reading this forum inspired me to looking for other options to finish my degree ASAP. So big three sounds like another option. I have got a AAS back in China (I am a native Chinese speaker) for English using the testing method so I am somewhat familiar with that. Unfortunately, its nontransferable.
Questions:
1. Should I register with local community college and later transfer to University for BA or just register with big three?
2. should I send the CLEP test result to the community college I registered for or to myself?
3. I have about 30 hours a week to study materials. How many credits/courses should I be trying per month or semester relatively speaking.
4. Anyone has a sample plan I can borrow?
I have read so much on the forum in the past few days and I just need a little guidance that could direct me the right way!
Thanks!

You don't HAVE to send the scores anywhere until you're ready. You could just let the scores build up, and then send them to the college of your choice in one transcript.
Can you provide some of the credits on your transcript? It will make the process of filling in the blanks easier.

BBQgal, How do you know that your Chinese education is not transferable? Did you have it evaluated by an American Evaluation service? If you haven't done so already this is worth paying the $180 for the assessment. I was able to salvage 27 credits from my Irish education to the United States and I know that China and Ireland interchange degree's so your Chinese education should be transferable. My local community college gave me a headache about my Irish credits but Excelsior transferred them in without any issues.
Don't forget that gaining college credit by taking exams is one of the reason's we're here. That's mainly possible through the flashcards made available by the owner of this forum :

Yeah, I talked to the advisor who is from china too and it was no go. I am okay with that because it's a different subject.

That's a pity because in Ireland your Chinese education would be easily transcribed. Well you have the right attitude! Good luck in your studies. May the year of the horse have you gallop to your destination
