i recently just found what CLEP tests can do for me and since i want to graduate early i decided to take a few. i am going to take the Bio CLEP test and one other one. either american gov, human growth psyc, education psyc, or sociology. any advice for these tests?
when you took the bio test did you study all 700 questions on IC or just certain topics. at my school they tell you what is going to be on the test and on the bio test it says
"The test includes questions on the broad field of biological sciences, organized into three major areas: molecular and cellular biology, organismal biology, and populational biology.

Students should consider taking the exam if they can demonstrate the following abilities:

* knowledge of facts, principles, and processes of biology
* understanding of the means by which information is collected, how it is interpreted, how one hypothesizes from available information, how one draws conclusions and makes further predictions
* understanding that science is a human endeavor with social consequences. "

So any advice it what i should study? i would like to take them next week becasue if i do fail, and i hope i dont, i will have time to take them again before i graduate.
also which test did you think was the easiest out of the other ones, not including the bio?

Thanks for the help

First of all - Welcome to the IC-Forums!! You will find all kinds of valuable information, guidance, and support here.

Secondly, I would take advantage of the "SEARCH" feature (located near the top of the page) to look for already established threads on exam topics already discussed, Biology being one of them. After receiving the list of threads, peruse through them until you find what you're looking for, many times it's much more than you can handle but over time it will make sense.

BTW: Biology is a large and intensive topic so take advantage of more than one study source (see below). If you're asking which test to take first (based on your list) I would say Sociology.

Take the advice and suggestions seriously from all of the many seasoned-pros that make up this forum. Everyone here is a student in this virtual classroom of many subjects.

Good Luck!!

When I go through the sections on IC, I take notes. Writing things down in order, often later organizing them so a group is all together (like the part of the brain or key people in sociology) really helps me review it better. Usually, I go through a section, taking notes where I can, reading the explanation, then I go through it again, hoping this time to get more right, using my notes if I need to to fill in the blanks. From there, I move on to another section. Do the same process, then go back and review the first and the second. and so on. Til I get them all right (or almost) and I keep going. It usually takes me like 3 times before I get most of the blanks correct. Sometimes it takes forever to get through the sections, sometimes it just clicks. That's usually when I know if it's going to require less study or more intensive study. But makes sure you always read the explanations. Knowing the blanks and the phrase helps me focus in on that key point, but then learning any extra points built on that one really helps in the test. Anyways, that's how I do it. I'm sure others have different ways, probably some even better ways. It's good to find how you do it best, and then just go at it. Good luck in your studies!
