I'm ready for the next step and also working on mapping, but I have a couple of questions for the seasoned guys.
1. Transferability of CC credits to TESC.
I have 6.0 (3.0x2) credits from Saddleback CC (CA). When I transferred them to another CC (Sinclair, OH), the receiving CC gave me 9.0 credits (4.5x2) for those two classes. What can I expect when I transfer those Saddleback CC credits to TESC, and how does TESC normally evaluate those? Do they give more weight to those Saddleback CC credits, as Sinclair CC did, or would it be equal 3.0 = 3.0 credit? What have you experienced in your CC transfers to TESC: equal or greater credit?
2. Short list of next few exams.
Now that I have my first CBE under my belt (CLEP: A&IL), I'm ready for the next one. Here is my short list of what to take next, in order of least difficult:
College Comp, American Lit, English Lit, Humanities. I pulled this order from several other postings on here, but wanted your feedback for fast and furiously easy.
3. One more slightly-off question.
Since I'm shooting for a BA, is there any point/reason for an AA? What are the pros/cons in terms of future career opportunities?
CLEP:
Analyze & Interpret Literature - 11/2014
College Composition - 3/2015
Objective: BA/Psychology (or Sociology) at TESC by end of 2015.

I would have guessed that Sinclair Community College is on the quarter hour system, but it's not. TESC will not give you more than 3 credits for each of the courses taken at Saddleback unless there is something strange going on.
What kind of AA would you want to get? General studies?

I really have no interest in an AA. That's why I was asking about the benefits. I've seen many who have an AA, where afterwards they continued on to obtaining an BA and MA.

I've also had credits transferred to Sinclair CC and didn't have anything extra awarded like that. Sinclair used to be on the quarter system a couple years ago, but now that they are on semesters it doesn't make sense. What classes did you transfer, maybe there wasn't anything that directly lined up at 3 credits but did with a 4.5cr class.

I transferred these, from Saddleback CC, CA, to Sinclair CC, OH in 2010:
ECO-216 PRIN OF MACROECONOMICS
PSY-225 SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY
Saddleback gave me only 3.0 for each. Sinclair gave me 4.5, each.

What can I expect when I transfer those Saddleback CC credits to TESC, and how does TESC normally evaluate those? You'll be required to provide Saddleback transcripts. TESC is on the credit hour system (like Saddleback) so they'll come in as 6. Sinclair is on the quarter system. 6 semester hours is equal to 9 quarter hours.
Do they give more weight to those Saddleback CC credits, as Sinclair CC did, or would it be equal 3.0 = 3.0 credit? It's not weight, it's the unit they use. One thing to watch for, anything you earned at Sinclair will be LESS when it goes to TESC. Student Quarter Credit To Semester Credit Conversion | ACE.edu

If English is your native language, I'd suggest comp! English 101 / 102 will include comprehension as well as grammar and a written essay. Besides working on your essay, much of this you might already know.

[COLOR="#0000FF"]Personal choice. I ended up getting mine, but I leave it off my resume. It actually looks funny that I went from an AA to a BA in one semester, so rather than invite questions, I leave it off. OTOH, since my first associate degree didn't contribute any credit to my BA, I kinda felt like I wanted it because I'd earned it from scratch! 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. You have to pay an additional fee (few hundred if memory serves) and you have to wait at least 1 quarter in between the conferral of each degree.

What about the other exams, in order of least difficult? Yes, English is my native language.
College Comp
American Lit
English Lit
Humanities
PS: thank you for answering #1. I've decided to skip AA since I'm determined to get BA next year and the AA would serve no purpose.
