New student, first degree, Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First off let me say that I am not new to forums. I want everyone to know I have searched and found/read the wiki. LOL

I am hoping to have a little help in a jump start towards the degree im seeking.
I would like to pursue a degree in Psychology. My questions are:

In your opinions and experiences which of the big 3 offers the best/least frustrating path towards this?

Where do I start? Register with the school and transfer credits as I complete classes and evaluate what I can replace credits with? Or should I follow a certain list and just knock out credits?

Does this degree plan work well with straighterline? I like the idea of a structured class I can complete quickly and would like to utilize them if they really are a good option.

Sorry in advance for the lack of knowledge and general questions. But thank you for any help!

No idea on which school is better for this degree, as they will all require a capstone taken at the school.

In my opinion, I would choose a school and create a degree plan based on some help here, and then start on it. Then, when you're a lot closer to the end, I would apply at the school.

All degree plans work well with Straighterline! They have lots of options for the GenEd courses you need, plus the more courses you take each month, the less each credit costs. If you like their format, use it for everything you can.

There are also a lot of other options besides CLEP/DSST that you can use besides SL.

Tesc made changes to their psychology degree in July so it is different then before. It can't be completed as easily as in the past but it is doable. I'm not familiar with the other schools. When looking through older posts just be aware that degree programs/policies change occasionally. Tesc made changes in July to their Gen Ed requirements as well. The Tesc psychology degree can be completed through Tesc online courses, TECEP exams, Excelsior exams, and alternative credit options such as clep, Dantes/DSST, tor college credits, straighterline, etc. You may want to consider what your goal is. If you plan to do a graduate program you would want to look at any requirements they may have for Gpa or prereqs. There was a post on here (couple of months ago) for psych under the new requirements but it mostly used tesc courses.
