Hi all,
I'm in the process of applying to pursue the Bsast in Aviation flight technology. My question is simple(I hope): If I apply and have a credit evaluation completed, can I continue to CLEP courses or am I expected to complete the remainder through TESC? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can continue to CLEP. You can complete credits through any means necessary. IDK the particulars of your intended degree but if you can complete them somewhere else cheaper and quicker, that is what most people tend to do.

Thanks for your response. Where I'm most lacking is in my Gen Ed requirements. With that known, should knock out as many of those through the tests before evaluation?

When you apply to TESC you will get an initial evaluation of your credits done, and after that you get one more evaluation of new credits.(2 evals for applicants) Once you enroll evals become unlimited. Your application is only valid for 6 months after that, you have to enroll or start all over again.
Depending on how many credits you currently have, I would just apply and keep taking CLEP tests. That way once you apply you can automatically have CLEP send your results directly to TESC.
Once you put a plan together, feel free to post it in this thread, and myself and others can point you in the right direction.

Ironheadjack, are you saying that an applicant has six months from the time of their evaluation, or six months from the original application date?

Thank you. I hope to have 80-90 hours with my FAA licenses and previous college. I've actually never taken a clap exam so the process is foreign to me. I'll report back when the evaluation is complete and look forward to any suggestions from the board. Thank you again.

Sorry to jump in on this as well; I only came across this entire board by accident, and the more I read, the more fascinated I became with going through TESC myself.
Just to be clear; it doesn't hurt to apply to TESC, and have CLEPs/DSST sent to them, as long as I don't enroll, correct (or finalize what classes/semester I'll be taking with them)?
Reason I'm asking is because I'm already enrolled in another university but I'm thinking of going through TESC, as I may be able to test faster through it, especially as testing is free for military members. My university can only accept 12 more credits from CLEP/DSST; my plan at this point, assuming my assumptions here are correct, is to max those out at my current university, then send my transcript over as well as all future CLEPs/DSSTs exams to TESC, before enrolling.
Is this correct? My apologies for butting in, and thank you for any clarification on this. This whole board was an exciting find for me, and I love the success stories people have had regarding this.
