New TESU Residency Requirement!!! 16cr, TECEP's do not count?!?
I just got accepted to TESU and if I understand everything correctly, it sounds like TECEP's won't be accepted for my residency even if i am registered for them in the May term because I didn't enroll prior to April 1st?

However, it does sound like I could avoid the cornerstone if i register for a TECEP and become enrolled by May 25th. What would be the easiest TECEP to start off with?
The courses I completed were taken off my evaluation from the section that showed that you met TESU residency.

Me too, but I only had the one TECEP. I was thinking they might add that back in after they get everything else changed...?

My evaluation has them removed too.

I hope so. I'm nervous.

Mine too. But I saved a copy of my eval from a while ago, because I wanted to have that part in writing.

It totally depends on what you're good at. But I think (based on my scores) that Applied Math was the easiest, then Technical Writing, then English Comp II, then Computer Concepts. I didn't have to study for any of these, versus Public Relations which I did have to study for quite a bit. Applied Math is easy if you know Basic Algebra (KhanAcademy) or Beginning Algebra (ALEKS).

I took it as that too

So far nothing has changed on my MDCP eval, in regard to TECEPs can be used for residency, but I'm not holding my breath ... we could be next

Well, crap.

In reference to your inquiry regarding the new Per Credit Tuition Plan (PCTP), the following information addresses your question.

You are listed as an applicant, meaning you are not an enrolled student. Students who did not enroll before April 1, 2016 must follow the new PCTP course of study that includes the residency requirement of earning TESU 16 credits of Online, Guided Study, e-Pack courses. TECEP credits are not accepted under the new PCTP. You do have the option of paying a residency waiver fee to graduate, if you don't meet the new residency requirement.

Your TECEP credits for the May 2016 term will not meet the new PCTP residency requirement because you were not an enrolled student before April 1, 2016.

Please contact an academic advisor who can assist you with developing a new academic plan. You can set up an advising appointment by using the Make an Appointment shortcut on our University's website homepage (College Degrees for Adults at Thomas Edison State University).
