Hi everybody.
I'm currently short 9 credits to complete my Bachelors degree and I was advice to CLEP those credits instead of taking the class.
I need 3 credits in Humanities, 3 phy science, 3 science.
I took the Analizing & Inte Lit and I failed. I score a 49 and needed 50. I was so upset that I was considering going back to school. But then I see this postings with great stories and I'm wondering if I should keep trying.
I have schedule a test for DSST World Religions and I have the practice test book, but no matter how much I study and don't see passing this test.
Anybody taken this exam?
Please advice
thanks

Look at the exam feedback section of this website for lots more information. World religions is very doable, in fact, I could say it is ony of the easier DSST exams out there. I would go for Astronomy DSST for science (perhaps physical or General Anthropology for that). Join IC and start using the flashcards. It will help your grade significantly. Good Luck!

I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost a little faith due to not passing A&I, but you know you cannot let that stop you, don't you? That particular test is a real hit or miss.... some people say it was the easiest 6 credits they've ever obtained, and others (like me) really struggled and sweat thru it. I didn't get the greatest score, but who cares?!
From your post, it sounds like you are not using 2 of the greatest tools to prepare for the religion test: the exam specific area, and the IC Flashcards. You're missing the boat if not using these two powerhouse tools.
Exam specific area: Read all about the exam from people who have taken it recently (go toward the end of the thread as it has all posts in date order). People tell exactly what to, and what not to study. For the religion test,
go here.
IC Flashcards: for $20/month, you will have one of the best tools I've seen for study help. follow the instructions - well worth it!
Instantcert Academy.
Don't even consider giving up - that's the sure way to lose out. You were so close... what sense would it make to say "well, I gambled with $75 and lost, so now I'll just go spend hundreds of dollars and take far more time".
Best of luck!
You can't fail if you never give up

I've been scanning this forum for the last 3 and half hours and I already found a lot of helpful info. The World Religions test is one day away and I have been studying a lot in addition on going over the practice test book. It helped greatly the two weblinks posted by Luv and Kiwi Lover. I will definetely going to sign up on IC for my next CLEP schedule for april 1st. I'm trying to decide if I take Biology or NS.
Thanks for your help and I hope I'll post a passing grade on thursday!!

Anthropology is probably going to fall under Social Science- not general science. I would check first.
