I got an email from ALEKS:

Anyone already have a chance to see the new setup? I have no need for anymore courses from them, so someone else will have to tell us how it is.

I received the email as well, some people have mentioned there were some updates done prior, as recently as last month.
Actually, at the bottom of the email there's a video. I've not watched it yet, but it should have some info on what updated.

I've seen it, and I don't see much difference (started in the old, worked into the new). The only big change I noticed is that when you complete a section correctly, you get a sort of congratulatory message that looks like something I got in 3rd grade for always getting my homework done on time. The update did tank the old process (take initial assessment > do poorly > switch classes > take initial assessment again) as they now store scores. My score report goes back to every course I've taken with an up-to-date score sheet. You can manipulate assessments a bit, but not much. From what I saw, I could have omitted one or two possible tasks from my learning assessments, but the back-testing (testing on what you already have credit for) can't be changed, and each assessment is still between 6 and 12 questions no matter what you add or remove. I didn't see any video resources, at all, but the interface is certainly more modernized.
