I am looking for testing and alternative class plan for my son. He will be following in all of our foot steps here, and a TESU BS in computer science is what he wants to work towards. I would appreciate a link a to something more current.
I have gone through the thread and it appears that CS UL classes can be hard to find. So far I have only really found a few tests 1DSST 1CLEP 1SL Aleks for Math and 1 UL from DA. Is there any others I'm missing?

There's also one from CSU-Global, and then a smattering of online courses from regular schools. I've also been meaning to search over at UC Berkeley Extension.

UC Berkeley extension courses won't work. It's going to be classified as professional/vocational, which is going to get denied. Any 400-level or 800-level course at UCB-X is a no-go.
There is also the additional complication that the TESU CS degree based largely on multiple choice tests like CSU-G or DSST is poor preparation for an IT job. The degree is better for someone who already has years of relevant work experience to excel in the technical interview and needs the degree just to get past HR.

Bummer. I hadn't checked, but looking now it appears all their computer and IT courses are indeed professional rather than credit bearing.

SNHU Online: They offer a full BS CS online (that is considerably more rigorous than the minimum requirements of TESU, for any youngsters looking to start on the ground floor with this...). Tuition is $320/cr hr undergrad, with a military rate of $225/cr hr. (That puts it cheaper than TESU, AMU, Excelsior, etc., for military looking to max their credits under the annual Tuition Assistance cap.) Anyway, these classes would transfer in, some presumably at UL for TESU.
