I am studying to take the biology CLEP exam and just found out that it could be worth 3-6 credits. Does anyone know the difference? Is the test longer if you want the 6 credits or do you get to choose?

The credit award depends on what your school policy is for the exam, but the test is built to be worth 6. You take the whole thing.

To add to Phillip's statement, my CC also states the score range.....for example 350-450 for 3 credit hours 700 -900 for 6 credit hours. These are not real numbers, just a general idea.

So, again, check your school for their rules.
