Hello,
I've completed some credits over the years (113 to be exact !) and I was hoping to get advise on the fastest way to get a degree out of all this. I'll list down the classes as how it shows on my transcripts first.

HES classes which I have no idea what is considered upper level or lower level for the big 3.
24 Credits in total ~
- Quantitative Reasoning MATH E-3 (4)
- Writing Fundamentals EXPO - 15 (4)
- Acad Writing EXPO - 25 (4)
- Intro to Calculus - MATH E-15 (4)
- Principles of Finance - E-2000 (4)
- Quant Methods in Economics - E-104 (4)
Summery, I was looking through the big 3, and looks like the closest I can get to a degree would be a BA in Liberal Studies/General Studies after I've completed 1 communications class (I'll be doing the coms class in the Spring). Are there any options that I could perhaps test out to get a social science major ? I'm looking towards a major in either social science or humanities so I can enter a teacher training program in graduate school. I do have quite abit of Computer/IT modules done - anything I can get from there ? Any idea how would TESU consider CIT modules ? Will they fall under their Comp Sci major ?
Thanks in advance

When courses are transferred in, it's not always a perfect match - in other words, 200 level at one college doesn't always mean 200 at another college. The good news is you are loaded with general education courses. Gen ed are the "best" for your situation because they will first meet a degree requirement (ex. English 101) and then overflow into general education electives. Lastly, when full, they overflow into free electives. This is the perfect scenerio.
I don't do degree plans, but I strongly encourage you to apply and allow them to do an evaluation. Good luck!!

You have all of the general education requirements met (except Capstone) for a BSLA from Excelsior College with depths in Psychology and Information Technology. One more upper level IT course would convert that IT depth into an area of focus that would be listed on your transcript.
You mentioned that you have CIT modules done- do you mean that you have IT certs? Which ones do you have? They might be usable at Excelsior.
You would also need a few more exams to fulfill the upper level Liberal Arts requirement. Those could be completed with DSST/ UExcel exams.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.

I do have 1 upper level CIT course done. So I'll need another one ?
I have a MCSD certification. I'll need to get it renewed though.
I noticed there's no communication/oral requirement.

Here is an idea of how your credits would fit in a BSLA from Excelsior. You have a few classes that would be duplicates or developmental level, so I left those off. I also looked through the EC course listings to see if your courses would be upper or lower level, but of course they might decide differently.
As I mentioned upthread, you already have the depth requirements met (12 hours per subject with three being upper level). You don't have to take more IT classes.

Here are the depths:

Research Methods in psych PSY 290 (4) UL*

If you take the Shmoop History courses and either DSST Civil War and Reconstruction or DSST History of the Soviet Union, you would also have a depth in History. You were interested in Social Studies so a combination of Psychology and History might work better than Psychology and IT, but really it's your preference.
You would still need:
Need Capstone 3UL*
Need Tor/ Coopersmith Information Literacy 2
Need UExcel Social Psychology (3) UL* (or DSST Civil War and Reconstruction)
Need UExcel Psychology of Adulthood and Aging (3) UL* (or DSST Soviet Union)
Need Shmoop Geometry (2) UL
Need Shmoop Modern European History (3) LL
Need Shmoop US History I (3) LL
Need Shmoop US History II (3) LL
Shmoop is $90/ month and unproctored online courses. I think you could complete those four courses in a month or two.
Before you enroll at Excelsior, search the forum for POAG to get details about major discounts through partnership pricing.
Good luck!

More on Partner Pricing:
Excelsior has a few partnership programs that lead to big discounts on tuition and fees. Two favorites here are from Straighterline and from the Peace Officers Association of Georgia. Since you don't need Straighterline classes, POAG is the clear choice.
First, join POAG as an associate member for $25/ year.
Join The POAG | Peace Officers Association of Georgia
When you are ready to enroll, you MUST mention that you are a member of POAG and would like partnership pricing (they have no way to know otherwise). Here is more info from Excelsior.
Excelsior College | Peace Officers Association of Georgia
Here is a ballpark of the total cost of tuition and fees from Excelsior. It is much cheaper not to take the 12 hours of Excelsior classes they mention and just take the Capstone instead.
Taking just a 3-hour Capstone
$0 to apply
$1095 Multi-Source enrollment fee
$1230 = $410 x 3 hours tuition
$450 graduation fee
Total $2775

And before I forget to say it, try taking Shmoop US History before you take the DSST Civil War and Reconstruction as a way to prepare for the DSST. Use Instacert flashcards, Free Clep Prep, etc. too, of course.
