Hi everyone! I was previously enrolled in the TESU BS CS program. Unfortunately, I don't really have a passion for computer science and burned out. I'm now looking at the BSBA CIS and need some help with course planning - I want to finish pretty quick so I can enroll in grad school (looking at CSU Global's Masters in Finance which has no pre-requisites except for a bachelors' from a regionally accredited university and a 3.0 GPA).
My preference is Straighterline for credits whenever possible - the format works best for me.
I used the "what if I changed my program of study?" tool on the TESU online student services portal and this is what I got:
1. BSBA General Education (60 SH)
I have everything except for: Mathematics 3 SH. Looks like both Business Statistics MAT150 & Introduction to Statistics MAT202 from SL would work.
2: Core (36SH)
I am missing ACC-102 Principles of Managerial Accounting (I already have ACC-101), Business Law, Finance, Management, Marketing and all 6 credits of Economics.
I'm looking at:
Managerial Accounting: SL Accounting II - ACC102
Business Law: SL Business Law - BUS110
Finance: Not sure, I need some suggestions
Management: SL Principles of Management - BUS201
Marketing: I need some suggestions
Economics: SL Microeconomics - ECON102 & Macroeconomics - ECON101
Also, I'm confused by something. Under "Accounting", I see "Group 1" and "Group 2". If I complete "Group 1" with the 6 credits from ACC-101 and ACC-102, do I need to worry about filling out "Group 2"?
3: Computer Inf Sys (18SH: 12SH must be upper level)
I am missing two CIS electives which need to be upper-level. I already have completed COS-116 C Programming, CIS-301 Management Information Systems, CIS-201 Management Information Systems, COS-208 Java Programming and CIS-320 System Analysis & Design I. I am looking at Saylor's Strategic Information Technology and Computer Communications and Networks which look to be UL. Are there any other options? I don't think I can swing the DSST Cybersecurity quickly - it looks really difficult and technical.
4: Electives (6sh)
Complete, yay!
Does this look good, anything else I am missing?
