Need help - last two upper level courses

I'm hoping you all can help me decide. I have two remaining UL courses to complete my BSBA - gen management from TESU. One needs to be marketing, the other management. I have registered for the marketing communications TECEP, but it has me nervous. It's new, so no feedback anywhere that I can find. Also, there are 5 recommended textbooks. I've ordered all of them, but I'm wondering if PF would be a better route to take with these two courses. I used PF for financial management and got that one licked in one day, graded, too The other is the strategic management that I'm just waiting for two webinars and a grading on my final project. PF seems to be an easier and even faster route for me vs. studying for this relatively unknown TECEP.

Any feedback from you all would be great on which two PF (man and mar) courses I could knock out relatively easily and quickly. This would wrap up my degree.

FYI, the free (except exam proctoring) Saylor marketing course, Principles of Marketing, transcribes as upper level (MAR-301) and wasn't too tough even for someone with no marketing experience.

You have taken enough communications courses to, IMO, make marketing communications quite doable. If you do not pass you could always retake. As an alternate, you could swap out to the Advertising TECEP which is still multiple choice format. I would also recommend Penn Foster Consumer Behavior and think they also have an Advertising course available.

For management, you might consider the DSST Management Information Systems. Saylor's Business Statistics transfers as OPM351. Penn Foster has Labor Relations and a few HRM courses available.(Employee Benefits, Training Admin).

Yes, the Saylor courses duplicate the CLEP tests you already took.

I see that you said that at a B&M school, you took 8sh of HRM. If this is the case, then you may not need to take another MAN course. You need 18cr, and Inter Acct, Cost Acct, Org Behavior, & HRM will count for 17cr. That would only leave 1 MAR or FIN course to take. And, if your HRM course is UL, then that means you can take any lower level MAR/FIN course, rather than it having to be UL. Just some thoughts.

Any of the TECEP's will work, PF has a bunch of courses both UL and LL (depending on which one you need), and the DSST MIS exam is UL.

Plus, Principles of Marketing is a business core requirement that doesn't count toward the 12 UL credits you need in the area of specialization.

On second thought...are you able to take DSST exams? I ask because it may be easier (and more affordable) to just take the DSST HRM exam. It would either replace the LL course or they may give credit for both which I have seen them do in the past. For example, the transferred college credit may be coded/evaluated as HRM-299 Fundamentals of (or Intro to) Human Resource Management. The DSST exam is evaluated as UL MAN-331 Human Resource Management.

If DSST exams are available to you, I would ask Advising if you could use the HRM exam.

I haven't attempted to take a DSST, but I'm sure there's a testing center near me. I'll check with TESU to see if they will allow the HRM.

The TECEP concerns me because of all the reading material they recommend, buy I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm thinking about a PF though as a backup option.

You don't have to read all of those textbooks; you only need one. They recommend five because any of those will work.
