Need help : BA in liberal studies Academic Evaluation next steps

Hi All,
Received my evaluation today. Trying to get a bachelor degree to continue my Doctor of PT program. I have an associate degree from accredited US institute and also completed 4 years of undergraduate work in Russia.

I transferred all my credits for evaluation and this is the results:

- transferred in 121 credits

Need the following:
A Intellectual skills
ENC 101
ENC 102
Oral communication
Quantitative Literacy
Information Literacy

B: Civic Learning
Diversity
Ethics
Civic engagement

Upper level Liberal studies
Need 12 hours in this area - any recommendation????

What are the TECEP/CLEP/DSST recommendations above, I do live very close to a testing center.

I'm curious how you pulled off an associate's in the US without English courses.

At any rate, it'll be easier to build a degree plan for you if you tell us what credits you had accepted. That way the suggestions aren't duplicating what you already have and the best options can be determined (and we can see if there's a better option than Liberal Arts)

You're about 3/4th's done! I'm your opposite...
Anyways, you're just required to do those courses, which should be about 12 courses total.
Mainly from looking at it, it's General Education credits you need most.

The upper level liberal arts are the harder ones to find, and you need 4 of them.
See their requirements here, they've got 3 examples. What do you want to "minor in?"
Degree Requirements: BA in Liberal Studies Degree at Thomas Edison State University

Updates: The only TECEP that's upper level and in your study is Abnormal Psychology

From looking at TESU ACP list, there's a few (2 for Math from edX, 2 for Psychology from ed4online)

Check the Charter Oak Master List, they should be similar to what Thomas Edison will transfer in.

If you decide Straighterline is not right for you, you can take the corresponding exams in this PDF.
I would recommend doing multiple Straighterline courses for maximizing the credit/month membership.

I did complete a english comp but they will not accept it as transfer as it was with the quarter system for 3 credit hours.

Oh, I would also recommend seeing if Charter Oak or Excelsior would give you extra/more credits towards their degrees.
Have you applied to either of those and have you got an evaluation from them as well? I checked your previous thread...
And I have to agree, those other universities are expensive compared to the Big 3 and take in less credits as well.

What are the TECEP/CLEP/DSST recommendations above, I do live very close to a testing center. TECEP's are taken at home using an online proctor, and cost $114 each. Saylor is a free course, the proctored final exam is $25. SL is a course taken online, quizzes and midterms also count towards your grade, $99/mo + course fees, so it's cheaper per unit to take more than 1 course in a month. Study.com is $199/mo, and includes 2 exams (you take the course and quizzes, but they don't count towards your grade). Make sure you plan in 2 courses if you go this route.

I spoke to Charter Oak and they mentioned its 10 days turn around for transcript eval and $75 application fee. Do you think it would be worth the effort to see if they would transfer more or what I got from TESU is pretty much any of the 3 would take?

No, I was wondering if you did or not as each college will take in credits differently. You should now focus on the examples provided to you and decide which courses or exams will be best for you to take for transfer into TESU.

I think TESU is very liberal with what they will bring in for the BALS, and I'm guessing that COSC will be similar. For something like the BSBA, it might make sense to try it out, but I don't think it will work in this case.

Of course, it certainly can't hurt to try, and see what they will bring in, and what you will have left to complete. For $75, I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Is there any other Major I should have the academic advisors do a potential evaluation to see if I would receive more credits?

I had 4 years undergrad work but most of the transfer didn't come in as 300 or 400 level. Is there anyway to appeal the transfer?
