Hi I'm looking to enter into a nursing program. I already have a BS from TESU. On my TESU transcript from 2013 it shows straighterline courses as CR. Do excelsior or Charter oak show straighterline courses with a grade for each course? I'm looking for a way to take the prerequisites of Anatomy, Phyisiology and Microbiology less expensively but need a grade for each course to show up on a transcript. Thanks

Nothing through ACE shows a grade, as ACE doesn't have them. You can have SL send a transcript directly to your new school, if they will accept it.
TESU BSBA/GenMgmt, Graduation approved for March 2017
CR Sources: 75cr(StraighterLine), 15cr(Saylor), 6cr(ALEKS), 6cr(Kaplan, TESU), 12cr(PF), 6cr(CLEP)

I believe Charter Oak awards credit for SL courses using the basic 90/80/70 scale - I know of no other school that does this. Before you apply and send your transcripts, you should call because I have not verified this.

I saw in another thread that someone said Charter oak gave letter grades for SL but I'm not sure how that would look on their transcript. Does anyone know or should I try calling them?

yes, and post back what you find out. My oldest is planning to apply to COSC at the end of this month, I'm curious too.

2011 COSC gave letter grades for my SL courses.
Know that nursing admissions can be tricky, they may well ask for the original grantor of credit....SL could be a no go even if laundered through Charter Oak.
My wife took A&P 1 and 2 with a lab and Micro online through New Mexico Junior College. University of Idaho also offers a 3 credit Microbiology through independent studies.
MBA, Western Governors University February 2014
BS Charter Oak State College November 2011
AS in EMS August 2010
I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Thanks!

Charter Oak State College transcript will group your courses by organization name (DANTES, CLEP, UEXCEL, TESU Exam Program, etc). In this case the organization would be straighterline. The course number, number of units, and grade will follow. There will be no doubt that the course was completed through straighterline.

If I go to COSC, I have to be concerned about how I do on SL exams? Unlike the DSST, etc?

Yes but not excessively. If you check the math on the course before you sign up, you'll know exactly how many points you need going into the final. So far, my kids have taken courses in which you can earn a C with a zero on the final exam- this is "my" guarantee that they'll at least hit a C in their classes. This, of course, requires earning excellent grades on the quizzes leading up to the exam. There are a few other that you can earn a B with a zero on your final. If you want an "A" you'll need to work harder. I did the math for every SL class a while back- I have the chart on my blog: https://homeschoolingforcollegecredit.co...t-to-take/
