First of all, the engineering degrees require 129-135 credits Online & Distance Education

Tuition info is here Tuition & Financial Aid | Mechanical Engineering | Degrees | Online Distance | Extended Learning | Academics | UND: University of North Dakota

Here are the requirements for the mechanical engineering degree Mechanical Engineering (ME) < University of North Dakota

He's not going to be able to do 90 credits of CLEP. He can't CLEP out of thermodynamics, for example.

Online students at UND get the in-state tuition rate except for those in their engineering programs.

Quote:Tuition for the distance engineering program is based on residency.

The online column is for the distance education fee; it's not the full tuition rate. You have to add up each column to get the figure on the right. The figure on the right is what students will be paying per credit hour for tuition and fees. Resident and non-resident, online students pay $482.82 per credit out. Non-resident, online, engineering students pay $911.38 per credit hour.

Look at my edited post. It's NOT $170 per credit hour. That's just the distance ed fees.

It is also important to remember that many of the credits required are specific engineering credits. It is nothing like transferring credits between liberal arts degrees.
TESC 2015 - BSBA, Computer Information Systems

TESC 2019 - 21 Post-bachelor accounting credits

Okay, so I was checking accreditation for the local state schools on the ABET website and I'm a little confused. When I search the one school, it comes up with their Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology degree and that's it. Does that mean that their Mechanical Engineering Technology degree is NOT accredited by ABET? The other school I searched doesn't even show up at all. Sad

And it looks like from this page Civil Engineering (CE) < University of North Dakota that you'd only be able to test out of a max of 74 because 60 are required to be from a 4-year institution. You also wouldn't be able to test out of 74 because there aren't enough tests.
