I'm trying to finish both of these up and graduate them next year. I have a prior BS degree from an RA uni so everything but AOS has been waived.
I have 3 classes left for my BSBA Accounting. I'm working on these and not having issues with this degree though.
I'm being told for the BA CS I need another upper AOS Elective and the Capstone. I'm having trouble with why I need another upper level AOS Elective.
I've attached what I've been given credit for on my degree plan and also where I took my alt credit and what it transferred in as.
Question 1: I took BUS 104 at SDC which transfers in as CIS 1030 (Intro to Bus Info Software). It's sitting under "additional courses" on my CS degree plan, but not being applied to my AOS. I'm told it only counts towards my BSBA and does not fulfill my BA CS. It's listed on the Wiki as applying though.
Question 2: I don't understand why my remaining elective needs to be upper level? I have COS 330, CIS 320, CIS 301, CIS 311, STA 399, and then will take the capstone bringing my upper level to the required 18 SH.

Thanks for any assistance.
For Question 2, just utilize the Coursera Wiki we have here to knock out the UL credits for CIS/COS electives for the AOS.
Are you sure those CIS/COS apply towards the BSBA - Accounting plan? Just because you have UL credits doesn't mean they'll go towards any program your in. Those will work for the BA CS plan however.
It also matters when you completed those credits too. IIRC, TESU's policy is that credits earned/completed that are being applied towards a program must not have been completed prior to earning a degree (one from TESU or elsewhere). For example, after completing my doctorate, none of my credits can be used from my IT degree towards the BA CS or any IBM/Google/Microsoft ones that I completed prior to the start of this new degree.

There aren't any more Coursera certificates I can get to give me upper level credits. I took the Advanced SAS one to get the last upper level I thought I needed which came in as STA 3999. By my calculation, I've satisfied the 15 upper level AOS requirement and then will take the capstone making it the required 18.
Still not sure why my CIS 1030 won't satisfy the last 3 credit hours I need then. If I need to take a lower level class well that's a lot easier and quicker than an upper. My only upper level left at this point is Saylor Software Engineering and well I can't even get the practice exam to load properly or paying $1800 to take it at TESU.
I've met all of the requirements for the BSBA Accounting except Audit, Tax, and the Capstone. CIS 1030 came in and satisfied CIS 1070 Computer Concepts and Applications.
I haven't graduated a degree from TESU. The only current AOS crossover I have between the 2 degrees is BUS 2110 Quantitative Skills for Business. All of the classes I have completed for these degrees have been in the last few years over a decade after my BS from a local uni.
Another forum user said you can get upper-level credits by completing this Coursera certificate as of July 2026,

CMP-4510 Artificial Intelligence
CMP-4710 Software Engineering
DSI-4999 Special Topics Data Sci/Analyt

Ok, I'm being told by advising that I can do another lower level elective, but did not get a reason for why CIS 1030 won't satisfy it. So I'll bite the bullet and just do another lower level.

Thank you! I'll have a look at that and might choose it over another lower level SDC course. I really like Coursera certificates.
