Need 4 hours - easy and quick
#1
Just about done with Excelsior degree. They just informed me that I need 4 credits, in practically anything. My initial thought is one of the 6 credit CLEPs, like Natural Sciences or Social Sciences & History. Anyone have a better suggestion?

thanks

If money isn't a factor in this case, what about FEMA credits? $60 a credit through Fredericks College and no studying involved.
CLEP exams passed:
Management, Accounting, Marketing, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics

DSST exams passed:
Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Statistics, Management Information Systems

Earned:
B.A. in Business Administration: Technology Management from Saint Leo University

M.S. in Leadership: Business Ethics from Duquesne University

Don't know anything about FEMA credits. Do you have a link?

From what I've heard....FEMA's are a great option. If you want to do just one exam....Social Sciences & History was a great one. I guess that depends on your grasp of History, etc.

Major thread on the forums discussing FEMA credits:
http://www.instantcertonline.com/forums/...light=fema

FEMA Independent Study Website:
Emergency Management Institute - FEMA Independent Study Program

Fredericks College FEMA Application:
http://www.emergencymanagementstudy.com/...online.pdf

More or less, you download the course material with a copy of the final exam included. Once you have all the questions to the final exam answered you get on the FEMA website and submit your answers. They email you the results with a link to the certificate of completion. If you only need 4 credits and don't mind dropping $240 on it, this would probably be the easiest way to go about it.

For the cost-effective method, I would go with A&I Literature CLEP (if you haven't taken it already). 6 credits for 60 bucks.

Just about a guaranteed pass.

Ooooh!! I forgot about A&I Literature!! That one was cake!! I walked into that exam with no studying. If you have at least an 9th or 10th grade reading comprehension, I think you will have no problem passing A&I Lit. It was also my very first exam. <sniff, sniff> That was a special moment. :p

I think I'll go do the Analyzing & Interpreting Literature. It seems to be basic reading comprehension. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I would suggest at the VERY least you do the CLEP practice test--and if you have a couple more hours--take the Petersons tests. For me, it was all about getting myself in the frame of mind to interpret Old Engish and poetry.
