I have a bunch of different credits but I always have to spend a long time thinking about what to study next. I would appreciate if anyone could help me in plotting a path for me...
I have:
principles of management(CLEP)
macroeconomics/micro(SL)
intro to religions(SL)
sociology(SL)
Documenting Your Experiences for College Credit: Learning Recognition Course(PENDING)
College Composition(CLEP)
College Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Intro to Statistics, Precalc(ALEKS)
Intro to comparative politics(Saylor)
Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct (online course)
Introduction to Communications(SL)
I know that I need things like BUS Law, princ of marketing, and I'll probably earn them through Straighterline. Did you know that Microbiology through SL is only $25? You're just paying for the proctor
My goal: General Business Administration from TESC. I live in NJ, so I don't have to worry about residency.

What about the two accounting requirements? You may also want to consider DSST MIS. Looks like it counts as one of the Management courses.
You may want to look into the residency requirements again. I thought living in New Jersey only counted towards determining tuition rate with academic residency being a different requirement.

Thank you. I started studying for MIS and im probably going to get the two accounting courses through SL.
Really? I hope i do t have to jump through too many hoops to fulfill the residency requirement

Not too many hoops, just that you need to decide which payment plan is cheaper for you. The per credit tuition waiver, or the in state comprehensive tuition plan. I think it's best for the tuition waiver as its $2000 vs the comprehensive instate option of $6350. If you are taking courses at TESU, it has 16 credit residency and its $385/credit, making that $6160.

Residency for colleges has 2 purposes: 1) for tuition purposes, usually cheaper for in-state students; and 2) for the purposes of how many credits you have to take at that school. For you, you will pay in-state tuition, but probably won't need to do 16cr of residency, so you will pay the $2000 residency waiver. All schools have some sort of residency requirement, 30cr is very common. TESU is willing to waive that, but you'll have to pay for the privilege. It's still a great deal though.
For the BSBA in General Management, I can give you a plan. You can swap out courses if you want, but I'm going to do everything through SL if possible, and then leave the rest in the cheapest options (there may be several options for any given course).

Wow. Thank you so much! That information is so helpful!!
On a side note... can I register the $75 with TESC and avoid having to take TES-100 Cornerstone: Lifelong Learning Strategies??

Sure, let's take you back to May 25, of this year... *zap*
If you have enrolled prior to May 25, then this wouldn't apply to you.
If you haven't enrolled, it was placed into effectively just 5 days ago.

Are you sure?
Quote:Advisory: TES-100 will be a required introductory course for all students enrolling after July 1, 2016. As of July 1, 2016, tuition for TES-100 is nonrefundable.
Quote:"Thank you for contacting Thomas Edison State College. If you apply before July 1st and enroll within 6 months of being accepted, you will fall under the current requirements. If you do not enroll within the 6 month period, your application will go inactive and you would have to reapply and you would then fall under the new requirements. Please let me know if you have any further questions."
1) Thanks for pointing me to their site with that updated link, I may have missed it saying July 1.
However, if you are reading their tuition page, it says May 25 is the date...
See here: Thomas Edison State University | Per Credit Tuition Plan
2) The other link you have is in regards to a thread made in 2013. Policies/Rules change at schools any time.
I don't think that's going to apply in this case as they've made changes in April of this year and passed them through.
Just to be on the safe side, you should still apply and get evaluated. Also email them in regards to the requirements.
Note: I will be taking the Cornerstone (even though I wanted to skip it) as I need a GPA from TESU and it's the cheapest 1 credit course.
Otherwise, If you read my posts before, I was adamant in not taking it, and wanted to enroll before May 25... things change, I am adapting.

Welcome to TESU! They've certainly done a lot for me, and i hope your experience is as good.
Well, July 1 certainly makes more sense. That was the traditional date that catalog requirements changed on. Of course the tuition page still says May 25, but your link seems more definitive to me.
