NEW self paced RA credit courses
#1
In exploring the new Straighterline partner, Jefferson Community & Technical College website, I came across a very pleasant surprise....they have a number of anytime courses at $125 a credit hour

Home

They also offer semester based courses. (tab on top).

The other interesting program they have that will really appeal to CIS and MIS students is found here KCTCS Online - Accredited college and workforce courses from the state's largest college system and more specifically here Meet the module >> KCTCS Online

With the modules, you can earn credit on your transcript for part of a course instead of the entire course. So if you wanted to show a wide range of IT knowledge this may be one route to go. Skills, careers, and programs >> KCTCS Online Please note that there are a nice selection of IT courses listed under the prefix CIS and IT.

All of these courses since they are from a regionally accredited school will transfer over to TESC.These are courses from the Kentucky Community College system, so they would normally be considered 100 or 200 level courses. TESC is a little different in that it will sometimes award upper level credit depending on how courses match up with their offerings. As an example, my son had a lower level Astronomy course which was transcripted as upper level at TESC. Another example is that the Principles of Management and Marketing CLEP's are transcripted as 300 level at TESC.
