NAU - Online Masters CIT
#1
While looking for online Masters CS programs I came across one from NAU which suited the most.
It says Masters - Computer information technology however there seems to be no Science word here. Usually I have seen degrees like MA, MS or Msc however this is only M. Is this something to worry about?

Has anyone completed this program, how easy was to get enrolled into the online program (competency based) and how difficult was the course content itself.
How well they are recognized by the govt. organizations ?

The two are different fields.
Here's my simple break down:
Computer Science = Design efficient solutions to problems using computers & algorithms
Computer Information Technology = Use knowledge of existing technologies to meet user needs

It doesn't read like they're looking for the difference between CS and CIT. They're asking about why it's an MCIT instead of an MS in CIT

I wouldn't worry about that. I think I would prefer an MCIT to an MA in CIT. Then you can put MCIT after your name and industry people know it's not an unrelated MA (such as MA in History or Biology).

The program I think is pretty good, however, it's not an easy program to accelerate like WGU due to the amount of work.
WGU MS ITM, 2021.
TESU BACS, 2020.
TESU BSBA, 2018.
TESU ASNSM in Computer Science, 2018.
----
UPenn MCIT (Accepted in 2018, not pursuing, see story here).
NAU MCIT (Accepted in 2018, not pursuing)

Following this, I am looking at this program as well.
Goals: TESU BSBA GM (Added CIS) and BA Computer Science

AAS ACS & ESST: Remaining - Associate Capstone
ASNSM CS: Completed, ASNSM Math: Remaining - Calculus I

Taking a majority of credits at Sophia.org, SL, and Study.com to finish these degrees
Updating my courses remaining by following forum advice, guide, spreadsheet & wiki
