My Journey from Dead End Job to Success
#51
Oh and I got the email from WGU saying my orientation is available online after Feb 15th. Woooohooooo - MBA all the way!

Amazon email came through today - the on site interview is next week at the local DC. They sent me 3 case studies to complete by this Sunday. Between this, starting my MBA and being the Girl Scout cookie booth coordinator for my area, this all may be too much of a good thing.
I'm going to bed early tonight.

Fingers crossed for you, and wishing you the best of all luck. (And a good night's rest, too!)

Amazon interview was yesterday. From noon to 5 with very little down time. Facility tour and 4 interviews including 2 math flows. I was one of 5 interviewees. All were male and younger than I am. And all the folks conducting interviews were young and male except the HR person. *sigh*
Maybe they'll see me as a way to increase their diversity?

Amazon called and wants to move forward with an offer for an Area Manager position with a focus on processes - they are putting it together and will call me on Monday. Guess I did better on the interview...interviews than I thought. Hopefully the offer is good. If it is...this whole gambit pays off. Getting my degree. Taking a position making less money for the past year to round out my experience in operations. We'll see on Monday.

The offer did beat my expectations! And I just received confirmation that my signed offer letter was received. It worked. The plan really worked....OUTstanding!
Of course, now I'm starting an MBA program at the same time as my new dream job...all good things, all good things (Omar from Frozen voice).

Congrats, that is awesome!

If the job is hectic, the MBA can be put on hold for a term until you're ready to start. I mean, the whole plan was to find a great job, if you find one without the MBA, then you don't actually need it right now. Not that you shouldn't get it, but don't let yourself be a crazy person when you're starting a new job. They want to be impressed.
