My Journey: TESU BSBA
I was going to take Microeconomics this week, but I was too stressed, so I took an easier CLEP. I want to take it this coming week, but life is still busy. I'm not sure which exams to take this coming week. I need to decide and I'm not sure why it feels like a tough decision.

I feel like I have a mental block against studying Microeconomics and Accounting again, especially Microeconomics. Those are the 2 CLEPs I need to take most. Since I've learned those subjects before, they should actually be easier, not harder. I don't know why I have this fear of math and related topics now. (I'm so glad I rushed with ALEKS when I was getting started, so it's out of the way, because of fear of ALEKS losing ACE status.) Both of them don't involve much math anyway. It's more about concepts.

I wish I would have had time and money earlier this year to work faster, so I could be done now. For a while, I was really looking forward to getting this degree. I will still be glad, but I don't usually feel good about the accomplishment for long. I'm already looking ahead. I'm wishing the Bachelor's was done, just so I can get started on the next step, a Masters degree.

I could cancel my second BSBA concentration to save some money and time, but I'm not going to do that. It's only 3 exams for that concentration.

Motivation is always at issue when going to school. It's natural for it to wax and wane and for future goals to take attention away. Just remember that the Bachelor's degree is a very worthwhile accomplishment that should be celebrated for itself. In fact, I recommend you plan some sort of graduation party with family or friends to help you feel more connected to the process. Hopefully it will give you something to look forward to. It should at least motivate you to graduate on time so you don't have to cancel it!

I have enough motivation Smile

Just not for repeating courses or certain subjects. I get bored having to study the topic again.

The party is a great idea though, for someone needing motivation in the last months.

Well, I didn't fail the TECEP after all! I only barely passed.  They had put "NC" with a very low score, so I thought that was my final grade, but I guess it was the multiple-choice only. I thought that when it wasn't final, it would show the low score but without NC/CR, but I guess not.

I'm not worried about Accounting anymore, because of doing some practice questions, and a lot less worried about Microeconomics. I may squeeze the exam in soon, but I have a lot going on.

I finally got Microeconomics done Smile I guess I had forgotten a lot more than I thought I would. I'm glad I know a lot of these concepts now.

It was a CLEP, free through Modern States. I felt like the CLEP Official Study Guide that I used wasn't a very good representation of the exam overall. This might have been because I used the 19th Edition of the Guide. I think they are now on the 20th Edition. I felt like lots of the questions needed scratch paper. They weren't necessarily difficult, however. I was surprised how much effort and time it took during the exam itself. Overall, I felt like they were trying to be a little bit tricky with questions, but that they were mostly focused on the core topics. I expected more variety or randomness to the questions. I expected them to be a little harder.

I won't be able to afford to take my final 3 BSBA exams until December, but I have plenty else to keep me busy. I'm not liking that they are each finance exams, because I will have to do them pretty quickly. (I would rather they were 3 different topics.) I'm looking forward to getting one done and counting down.

Most of the time, it's easier to do similar courses back-to-back as there is usually overlap and concepts carry over. Could be a bit boring though.

I wanted to do the 3 Finance exams this month, but they've gotten pushed back. With a little luck, I will get all 3 done in January. If I get 1 done in January, there's still a chance of finishing the last 2 at the start of Feb.

Some of my posts are in my graduation journey thread. http://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/showthre...?tid=28118

It feels good having finally sent my ACE transcript to TESU. This is the last minute. I hope they confirm receipt tomorrow.

I look forward to getting that transcript and my other evaluated, so those empty slots are filled in. Even though I was told I would get Bio 2 Lab credit, I'm a little bit nervous about that one.

It took them a long time about 4-5 weeks to get all my transcripts together. I still have a few courses left for my CIS concentration, but the GM concentration AOS is complete. I am thinking of no longer going for the certificates I wanted, but to get an ASNSM instead. How did you get the Bio 2 Lab credit and what are you nervous about?
Goals: TESU BSBA GM (Added CIS) and BA Computer Science
BSBA GM - Added CIS AOS (CIS & GM completed)
BACS & Grad Plans (BACS instead of BALS w/NSM)

AAS ACS & ESST: Remaining - Associate Capstone
ASNSM CS: Completed, ASNSM Math: Remaining - Calculus I

Taking a majority of credits at Sophia.org, SL, and Study.com to finish these degrees
Updating my courses remaining by following forum advice, guide, spreadsheet & wiki
