My Journey: TESU BSBA
(09-07-2017, 01:29 PM)dfrecore Wrote: I think you spend too much time worrying about future plans, instead of focusing on what your current goal is.  I would stop thinking about it, and just spend all your time and effort finishing your BSBA.

Planning is a sort of a hobby. I do as much as I can on the BSBA and other decided plans, and then I can't help but wonder during some of my downtime Smile What I end up pursuing will be potentially a big part of my life for a while, such as maybe having to change some other life plans so I can do a Masters quickly, or choosing to live nearer to a certain area for the school or job opportunities. I will have to pin down where I'm going to live.

Also, I'm in the home stretch for TESU Smile I have 15-16 exams planned for the next 19 weeks, and 8 of them will be fairly easy. 4 of them are SL and Study.com where the final has such little pressure. 15-16 because I don't know if I have to do that additional Marketing TECEP. I also plan to do an extra exam not needed for my degree.

I did 3 exams this week, and I will probably get 2 exams done in the next 5 days. I would enjoy crossing off the SL or Study.com from my list, but I'm waiting for financial reasons.

In 2 months I'll be enrolling for Spring community college classes. I already know most of the classes I'm going to take, but I'm thinking about how to use my last credits that are covered by the grant. I may use them for A&P I and II because I'm still thinking of doing a nursing program. I don't want to waste the credits. I want them to go toward a future plan.

I felt like not doing the CLEP this week, but I went ahead and paid. I already had a study plan. But after I paid and wasted more time, I realized I wasn't leaving myself much time.

I'm finding Contract Law to be not intuitive, and I thought it would be. I'm pretty sure I will pass if I stopped studying, but I want to finish my study plan.

I'm thinking of postponing my TESU graduation to spend more time on other things. I don't feel like the degree will make much difference in terms of finances right away, but I could do other things that will make a difference. For now I'm still fitting in exams and courses when I can, but I'm not sure I can pay for Study.com or SL in October!

I don't like 16 week classes. 8 to 10 seems better, but still long.

I want to start the BA-CS but will have to wait a while.

The money part is hurting my motivation again. And these long writing-based online CC classes. If it weren't for the money I could have the BSBA already.

I would rather put out my own eye with a spoon than deal with a semester-system.  It's pure torture!

Not much to update.

I haven't been able to travel to a CLEP test center again. It's frustrating. I am hopeful that one center will let me take 2 exams in a row, and I could go more than once.

I'm finally taking the two marketing TECEPs this week. I'm still waiting to find out if I must take the Advertising TECEP too... due to Digital Marketing coming in as LL. Probably. This was a waste of $117.

I think I'm going to push to complete everything, so that I can graduate in March if I can pay the residency waiver and grad fee. It's not very likely.

I hope I don't have to take grad school courses in 15 or 16 week format. Even 12 week.

You are sure Digital Marketing comes in as LL?
College (146): RA (134), NA (12)
ACE-recommended (105): Sophia (53), Study (28), Google (12), TEEX (10), Institutes (2)
ECTS (69): ENEB (65), LUT (2), XAMK (2)
IN PROGRESS:

Certificate- Google Data Analytics
Bachelor- Cybersecurity Technology (105/120) /
 Organizational Leadership (99/120)
Certification- CompTIA A+
DONE:
Certificate- Google IT Support

Associates- Business Administration /  BoG (History)
Undergrad certificate- Computer Networking
MBA
I'd definitely challenge their placement of Digital Marketing as LL, since Study.com states that it comes in as "MAR-441 : Marketing with Digital and Social Media" and the only equivalent course at TESU is MAR-441.

I'm not sure. I am waiting for an evaluation. I read about it in another thread. Something about Study.com trying to get it changed in January? I don't think anyone is sure.

IIRC, Study.com currently has courses that are UL and TESU is switching them to LL on 1/1/18. Per their agreement, if you have transferred the course in prior to that date, you get to keep it as UL.
