That is really neat! I really enjoy studying and learning about World War II. Those rifles were without equal.

I play the rope-tension snare drum as a drummer boy in re-enactments of the War of Northern Aggression and have made 2 drums by hand. I also play the historical six-hole fife, and a little on the piano.

I recently joined a handbell choir. I'm not very good, but it is fun! I have been planning to learn how to play the guitar, but haven't gotten around to it yet. <sigh>

I play guitar, bass, drums, guitar/harmonica combo, a little piano, and I sing and write songs. I'm self taught on all. I'm no pro, but I can hold my own, and can probably play better than a lot of "musicians" you hear on the radio. I'm not bragging, just making a comment about mainstream pop music. And Greggy D, that is a sight to behold. I love the sound a tele gives, and would love to have one, but the wife thinks I have one too many as it is.

Farmerboy Wrote:Bump........Haha, yes, a good thread to bump! I've played piano since I was 7...so approaching 12 years. I enjoy learning new works, particularly from the Romantic period, I like to give attention to minor composers such as Charles Valentine Alkan in addition to the mainstream composers such Chopin. I also enjoy composition. This past summer I also took up voice lessons, which has been distinctly enjoyable. Gilbert and Sullivan, anyone?

I've played the piano since I was five - I love it! I have a recital coming up the end of this month.
I started playing the violin about three years ago - but I haven't practiced in a while. I almost finished Suzuki Book 1.

Good thread! I'm surprised it hasn't been posted before. I play violin, viola, and piano--piano since about 7, violin since 9, and viola since about 11. Violin is my main instrument, but I am called to fill in viola a lot for jobs, and since I no longer take piano lessons I play it mostly for church. Oh, and I do take shooting lessons (rifle), too.
