You're welcome! I have not yet taken any of the ACT courses, so this will be interesting! I'm dying to see how they transcribe at TESC. Here is the thread where a few of us were discussing ACT.

The thing to really emphasize, is that the BUSINESS called ACT gets these onto a college transcript as grad credit, not ACE-evaluated pass-fail, so these are NOT continuing education units CEU.

So i noticed I have a COS-499 on my transcripts listed under free electives and at one point did send a ticket to a counselor about changing it to upper level credit in science / math. They originally told me that it was a business class and didn't apply, but I looked at the syllabus for TESC's network management course and its pretty much the same thing. I sent another ticket to the counselor asking to review the course and have it apply towards upper level credit giving a detailed explanation and syllabus for each course. Hopefully they will change it for me.

I figure if I have that apply to the correct spot, i can take the ALEKS stats for behavioral science as the 2nd course. Fortunately for me, i have 10 credits from a single course than can make up the difference in free electives. I have my fingers crossed on this one...

SO my academic adviser says the CMP-354 course isn't a Natural Science. Has anyone else taken this course and had it moved to the Natural Science portion of your degree? If so could you provide me with the email of your academic adviser?

According to their own website here it is. I think you are just suffering with the academic advising roulette that we have all had to go through at some point.
BA in Natural Sciences/Mathematics, 2013 - TESC - Arnold Fletcher Award

It depends. That webpage looks old. It lists TECEPs that are no longer offered. This is the current page.
Thomas Edison State College: Course Offerings

It's also not listed here as a natural science.
Thomas Edison State College: General Education Electives

However, you may be able to convince them to count it as a natural science.

I only need 4 upper level natural science / mathematics credits to graduate. If I can get the Network Management course as a Natural Science, what are my other options?

Does anyone know of any 1 credit upper level NS courses, or possibly an upper level stats course? The academic adviser said all ALEKS stats courses are STA-201 and wouldn't be upper level.
If the CS course doesn't apply, then I need to find 2 UL courses...

GREAT NEWS! They reclassified my Network Management course as upper level credit in Natural Science!!!

Now all I need is a single credit in UL Natural Science or Mathematics. Anyone know of anything?

Ask for approval of an ACT course! Even if you don't take it, just so we know the classifications. Please, it's a huge deal for many people and very easy for you to do.
