Probably a stupid question about DSST
#1
On my schools website they have score that your must have to receive credit as a two digit number. My score was given to me in a three digit number a 440. How would I go about computing the score to a two digit number?

DSST changed their scoring scheme from two to three digits a few years ago. The three-digit number corresponds to an older exam, while the two-digit number corresponds to a newer exam. The older exams are still valid; what has happened so far is as they update exams they are changed to two-digit scores. Note that depending on the school, two-digit may be assigned a letter grade, while three-digit scores are pass/fail.

Short answer: your school should have a passing three-digit score for this particular exam, ask them.

I think it's the other way around.

Old Score System: Scale of 20 to 80 / Passing ~45-49 / Sometimes Graded
New Score System: Scale of 200 to 500 / Passing 400 / All Pass/Fail

Your school should be able to handle the new grading system without converting it into a two-digit score. Perhaps their website is simply out of date.

I hope it gets cleared up for you either way,

Yes, Ruddigore. This is correct.
