Passed M&B with a 61. Everyone talks about how hard this exam is. My thoughts are
1. yes it's difficult
2. but passable (even for the think headed)
Some hints
1. Don't be cheap. go to amazon and buy a used Money and Banking collegiate level text book (I payed about $130 for a $225 new book) IC is not enough
2. Use the Internet for study resources. My favorite sites are Economic Glossary - Advanced & Basic Economic Terms Definitions and Browse by Category, Concise Encyclopedia of Economics| Library of Economics and Liberty
3. Commit at least 30 days 2 hours per day. Use IC for practice test and look up wrong answers in the text book and Internet. Read the entire chapters and web pages.
During the actual exam expect to do a fair amount of process-of-elimination and guessing.
Studying for this exam is useful in real life especially for old fogies students like me thinking about retirement investments and long-term interest rates.
