It looks like Microsoft recently joined NCCRS and has many offerings in the form of technical certifications and MOOC courses through EDX. Some of these are even UL and GRADUATE. For the certification tests it looks like the average cost is $165(plus proctoring?). For the MOOCs you have to pay $99 for each course in a series of 10 or so courses that make up a Microsoft Professional Program. That means roughly $1000 which is probably not going to be of any interest to most people. Some people in a related field may be able to get their employers to cover the certification exams or courses. Since it looks like the NCCRS recommendation is pretty new, I'd check back periodically to see if they add more. Currently there are 4 certification exams for credit and 11 MOOC Microsoft Professional Pathways for credit(and 4 retired exams).

On the bright side: Microsoft offers free online prep material for the certification exams. Microsoft offers student discounts.
On the (potentially) down side: It looks like excelsior handles the transcripts?
* This is unrelated to MOS certifications and other microsoft office courses through colleges and 3rd parties.

Thanks for sharing, but OMG! I wish Excelsior would stop advertising its OneTranscript as something that magically makes college courses transferable. We already know what TESU's response is going to be. Microsoft needs to produce their own transcript.

Just thought I'd share Microsoft's ACE page too. It looks like most these certs lapsed except some of the MOS certs.

Interesting. Some Azure credit is lower level. I tried to study Azure for the certification and it did not feel like lower level at all.

Find the cert you want then find the appropriate free online learning path.
It doesn't seem worth it for the purpose of just getting college credit unless that knowledge/cert would be useful in your current or future line of work.

It will be good for me to prepare and if I think it worth it and I will take the test. I would like to know the test for Microsoft; it will be open book test

Some of the topics offered look very interesting to me. What do we know about TESU accepting the Excelsior transcript? At $990, I'm not real interested in doing it just to experiment!

TESU will not accept the Excelsior transcript. Study.com tried this, and it didn't work.
