Yeah I double dipped, 3 credits for the class and 3 through ACE.

I guess you can "double-dip" except that most schools will only take the CC course(s) - so the ACE credits will probably be considered duplicates.

They weren’t duplicates in my case. My CC accepted the Certiport ACE credits and applied them toward my AGS. They had no clue that the credits came from the same course. They were also used toward my BA.

No.  This is just an additional test.  However, it is probably a way to double-dip a bit and I've always thought that these might transfer into TESU as something techy.  I haven't done it, though, so that's a guess.  Right now, though, it is probably just better to take some of those really nice study.com classes.

He and I just took a free Excel series through our library, and I would love for him to roll this forward into college credit, even if it is just 1. I see mysonsX3 did this on campus at the CC, is that the normal way, or are there online options too?

I'm pretty sure there aren't online options, but I'm not sure. It isn't just about college credit, these are certifications that show you have real have skills employers want and could help in getting a job.

Let's say I find an exam on the list that I want to take, I understand about the third party testing, but even when I find a testing center near me, I can't seem to figure out how much it costs to take a test? I think I'm missing something obvious.
