Right now you can take a MicroBachelors on EdX that is from TESU. It give you 3 credits for a study program there.

Does this count as a the minimum needed credits from TESU. Could be a way to reduce the numbers of credits needed directly from TESU and make it easier and cheaper?

"This course can be used to fulfill the Information Literacy requirement at Thomas Edison State University in the Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science Degree. It will not satisfy the Information Literacy Requirements in any other degrees at TESU."
This won't work for RA credit.

Course Experience: CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.

I think they must have added the language about "not satisfying the requirement for any other degree" because I don't think that was there before.
Annoying, because it's obviously the same damn course. My guess is, they are just trying to find a new way to get students into their CS program. But oh well. And it makes sense that it doesn't count as RA. Still, a hell of a bonus for anyone doing a CS program at TESU.

I'm kind of wondering what happens if you're doing the BACS/BSBA CIS plan and try to transfer in the edX course. Would they make you take SOS110 again for the BSBA but accept it for the BACS? It's so weird.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I was wondering the same thing. Probably be best just to ask. My thinking is that once the SOS110 credits are in your transcript, they might just be happy, but it's equally possible they would indeed insist you take it from them for the BSBA CIS.
