For example can the English comp be used for tesc 6credit english comp requirement. and can the humanities be used for the humanities part. I cant see the clep humanities test being worth 12 credits though. so what does. " Must include two subject areas mean. Does that mean i could do something like. Literature. Thank you very much. One more question. for example lets say u need 3 math credits. and you do colle mathmatics clep which is worth 6 credits. can u use the 3 remaining credits to meet some other math requirement for your ba. or could i use the remaining three for free electives?

3 credits would go towards college-level mathematics and the other 3 would go to other natural sciences/mathematics.

Cinderly's answers were correct and the most efficient way to meet your requirements. It will also save you the most time and money doing it that way. You CAN, however, choose different (smaller) exams to meet the requirements. (see the college catalog pages 102-103 for the exam equivalencies) by taking two 3 credit exams instead of one 6 credit exam.

For some reason, I hated the general exams (except English Comp) - I thought they were hard to study for until AFTER I had taken several subject exams. For example- I started to study for the Social Science exam and my brain exploded. So, I decided to take the smaller subject exams (I took Psych, Edu Psych, Sociology, US History 1, and US History 2) instead. Then, I took and passed the Social Science general exam with ease. I didn't even have to look at the other subjects on that test (World history, economics, government, and anthropology) since I had a solid understanding of most of the exam through previous study. To just go in and start studying though, I would have had to learn all of it. It might just be me, but I found that too big of a mountain. I chickened out of both Natural Sciences and Humanities!

Now, if you already have good foundational knowledge in those subjects, you can probably walk in and handle it with ease. (I didn't)
