Max Credit help for TESU

Hi I'm Elle this isn’t my 1st tIme here I started out on my journey in August 2024 with Sophia and TAMUC in October. I will be finishing up my TAMUC capstones in January and would like to get the maximum credits and take the computer science Bach at TESU. I have attached all my current and in progress credits looking forward to getting your input. Happy Holidays.

Any certifications or military experience?: none 

Budget: really all depends on financial aid 

Commitments: Fulltime Job and kids I also Doordash and Shipt a couple hours a week. 

Dedicated time to study: I can do 4-5 hours a night, fees hours Sat all day Sunday and a couple hours through out the day during down time at work. 

Timeline: I would like to apply in January 2025 after I’m done at East Texas AM (TAMUC) 

Tuition assistance/reimbursement:
I have been approved for financial aid
I would like to have a little cushion for expenses so I can focus more on my studies. If anyone has info on how to get the maximum Financial aid please let me know. 

Budget: I have $1500 saved

I have gained a lot of knowledge in building websites and developing iOS and Android apps through online platforms such as Youtube, Udemy, and Coursera. I also have experience in setting up businesses and creating processes and workflows.

I am currently working at a nonprofit organization that assists small businesses. In my role, I build websites, handle marketing, and contribute to the development of workflows.

I am open to all suggestions and assistance.

Yes I want to take the BACS at TESU I think it maybe a little faster than WGU. I really wanted to WGU SWE but the program has so many different classes and certs to get max transfer credits and financial aid gets held up for 6 months.  I guess I have an emphasis on acceleration. 
The goal is to complete TESU the UMPI MAOL and possible South College DBA. 
I see you did UMPI what are your thoughts on the program and is it reasonable to think I can do in one term?
Are the classes on TESU self paced like UMPI and WGU I couldn't find a clear answer?

Yes I want to take the BACS at TESU I think it maybe a little faster than WGU. I really wanted to WGU SWE but the program has so many different classes and certs to get max transfer credits and financial aid gets held up for 6 months.  I guess I have an emphasis on acceleration. 
The goal is to complete TESU the UMPI MAOL and possible South College DBA. 
I see you did UMPI what are your thoughts on the program and is it reasonable to think I can do in one term?
Are the classes on TESU self paced like UMPI and WGU I couldn't find a clear answer?

With a TAMUC degree, your general education requirements at TESU will be waived. The only course you’ll need to take at TESU is the capstone. While it isn’t 'self-paced,' when you start the course, you’ll see all the written assignments and forum posts required for the entire course. This means you can work ahead, making the deadlines less stressful and easier to manage alongside your other commitments.

Don't forget that the BACS will be considered a second bachelor's at TESU and 24 of your credits will have to be earned after your first degree confers. Not sure exactly when you graduate, but be careful.

Can you explain this a little more please?  My final semester starts Jan 13th to March 2nd and I should be done my classes by the 2nd week not sure if they confer immediately or if I have to wait until the end of the semester.

TESU has rules about earning a second bachelor's degree (see below). One of them is that you must have 24 new credits in the area of study. They define that as being earned after the most recent degree was conferred. So if you dive in and start earning the credits for your BACS right away, and your degree doesn't confer until April, you could have a problem.

Earning a Second or Successive Baccalaureate Degree

Students who have earned a baccalaureate degree from TESU or an accredited institution recognized under the Thomas Edison State University Transfer Credit Policy and wish to earn an additional baccalaureate degree must:

Complete a minimum of 24 credits including the required capstone for the degree. These credits must be in the area of study and/or core of the degree. These credits must be earned after the date the most recent degree, regardless of academic level, was conferred.
Additionally, students must complete all other degree requirements as listed in the current Thomas Edison State University Catalog.

No, Calc II and III and Discrete Math are not part of general education section of the degree, so they will not be waived. You will need to take those somewhere.

And that's where slicing things accordingly is what you need to do (a degree action plan with straightforward steps of completion)... Refer to post #2. In regards to the 24 new credits, that's the Study.com and TESU residency credits, you would do this after the TAMUC degree has been conferred, the main thing right now is step #1, your degree planning spreadsheet with the requirements...

That must have been for the BAM (Mathematics). Unless something changed recently and wasn't discussed here (not likely!), only Calc I is needed for the BACS:

Sophia is highly recommended for Calc I, likewise DM at Study.com.

However, I'm trying to understand your strategy. If you're going for multiple levels of business/leadership degrees, why bother with the BACS?

I was thinking maybe I'm drunk on eggnog or something cause I don't remember Calculus II or III being a part of BACS at TESU.
