I've emailed advising this same question but perhaps someone here has already asked and had this answered..
On this page: BSBA in Computer Information Systems Degree Program under the AoS, some of the courses are marked with asterisks. "Additional Programming Language" is marked with two, while "Computer and Information Technology", "Database Management" and "Management Information Systems" are marked with one. I can't find anything on that page explaining what the asterisks are trying to indicate though..
Anyone know?
I'm searching through the TESU courses & PLA database for courses I can challenge via PLA and just noticed these presumed footnote markers with missing footnotes.

Can't remember for sure. I think the ** for programming was a note about limiting the number of programming courses that can be included in the AOS.

There's definitely a restriction that only one additional programming language can be taken, but is that what the "**" is trying to indicate? What kind of copywriter puts "*" and "**" next to items in a document then doesn't put in appropriate foot/end notes to define them?! Ok.. mini-rant over.

The notes were there at one time but removed with an update. I looked through my notes from when I was mapping out my degree and don't see them.

The catalog has much much less information, unless I'm looking in the wrong place (catalog-ug.pdf).

My assumption to the reason they place so less info or details is because they want you to contact them.
Most of the requirements are found on the link you provided but the cornerstone, I think they'll update it.

Got a response today. Looks like they actually had to research something instead of sending a canned response!
Quote:Great question! Thanks for bringing this to our attention so that we can update our website.
The two asterisk designation (Additional Programming Language) denotes that there is a maximum of 6 credits of programming language that will apply toward the specialization. Therefore, since there is already a 3 credit programming language requirement, students can only apply one additional programming language course under the specialization electives.
The one asterisk designation means these courses are strongly recommended, but not mandatory.
I will make sure that the website gets updated. Thank you!
