Unfortunately, I have a toddler in the hospital with a a complex medical condition and I cannot drive so it is far easier for me to take a class or a tecep or something else online and use an online proctor than it is for me to travel and get somewhere and be away from her for an extended period of time, vs. my apartment or even a semi-private room in the hospital for a couple of hours, which is what would have to happen if I were to leave to take the DSST.
The reality is, I have used HRIS systems and I am very comfortable with IT. I am not sure how much MIS will crossover with my background in HRIS but I am hoping a course would be pretty easy and I can breeze through it in a few days.
I contacted COSC about the ed4online course on Friday and someone said they would get back to me because they weren't certain about it but they said that if it was ACE approved, which I believe it is, then it should qualify. I did not receive a call back. I will follow up today and share what I learned.
Thanks.
