For LIB-495 capstone, I need to take Major Field Test for my major of study.
I saw some posts said that "You will earn a full 10% score as long as you complete the ETS major field test. In other words, your actual performance score from ETS does not matter".
Is that true? --- If that is true, then why not just randomly guess the answer and complete the test very quickly? I saw somebody in the old posts commented that this test is a joke.
Could somebody confirm this, especially with recent experience? Thanks!!

I suppose it's to appease some random metrics. Like, TESU can say that (made up numbers) 82% of their Psych majors can get a score of 94% or higher on the Major Field Test. It doesn't matter to you individually, but it may matter to the school. That said, they're not doing anything to stop students from just guessing randomly when doing the test.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

So seem your feedback confirmed to my question that ""You will earn a full 10% score as long as you complete the ETS major field test. ".
Thanks!!!
