Coursera is a great option if you're starting off with the subject, but these are alternative credits, I'd rather get the 'gold standard' instead of non graded alternative transfer credits.
I transferred in 24 RA credits from Virginia Tech so I'm not too concerned with that. I have the maximum of 90 (94 actually) transfer credits already so I would literally be transferring these two courses in to replace some of my current electives in order to get a minor.

Possibly more challenging than the certificate because some students have reported a lack of sufficient information in the course to be able to complete the final project. Getting the RA credit is nice, but if you're not already comfortable with programming, I'd just get the Coursera certificate, get the credit, and be able to focus your efforts elsewhere.
The Final Assessment has changed since I completed the course, but I still got through it. When I took it, the programming language used for the Final Assessment wasn't taught in the course content which was strange. I have ZERO programming experience so I struggled, but I figured it out and got an A in the course. The Coursera certificate isn't just 1 class if I remember correctly.
That's very good info. I think I will do the coursera certificates for sure to avoid that. Besides I can work on them in my down time which is nice. Jessica said I could transfer in courses literally up to the day my degree is conferred.

You're capped at 90 credits. I would take the remaining classes at UMPI. You're required to complete a minimum of 10 courses at UMPI.

True. I’ve got to confirm with Jessica but I feel like she can pick from the total amount of credits transferred in, what actually applies to your degree.

IBM Data Analyst is really long to complete. I don't think you can finish it in less than a month. So unless the cert would look sweet in your resume, I say take the classes at UMPI.

I’ve actually already finished both. Only took me about a week to complete both.

That's great, hopefully you can have it applied to your current degree plan... that was pretty quick, finishing them in a couple of weeks.

I hope so. I’m going to ask Jessica on Tuesday. They were both good courses. I knew a lot of it which helped.
