I graduate in april, and currently taking 13 credits. I only need 6 more credits for my BA. I am wanting to know if there is a "easier" college for this degree for the fact that I will be going back to active duty, and therefore will not have the time to do research theories, or do long reports. Does anyone here have an experience with getting an MA in history.

Writing papers is an integral part of grad study in history- no school will allow you to avoid it at that level.

I'm on my second graduate History course and it is all writing. My courses are all 16 weeks (which sucks) but are not that hard. At AMU, like in every other online school, I average about 8 forum posts plus 2 responses to other students, 2-4 short essays (4-6 pages), and 1 major research paper, about 10-12 pages or 4000 words. So there is no escaping writing papers.

I can't say which is the best because I attended all for different reasons. Excelsior and TESC were the same experiene for me for Undergrad degrees. Both EC and TESC are more flexible for undergrad than AMU. They take 100% transfer credit vs. 75% at AMU. However, they do not offer MA in History or Public Administration which I'm going for. So I went with AMU since they have more Masters programs and Graduate certificates to choose from. Almost all of AMU's Masters and Undergrad courses are 8 weeks except for the History courses. As far as the level of work I have to do for my Graduate classes, it is not too demanding. But then again, I'm only taking one class at a time.
