M.Ed. suggestions
#1
I have been investigating M.Ed. programs. My requirements are (1) RA (2) no required student teaching to graduate; (3) 100% asyncronous. Beyond these requirements I am mainly concerned about cost. If possible, I would prefer a self-paced program. Now that UoPeople is RA, is there any reason to go elsewhere? What do you think?

Only as you mentioned alternative interest in administrative roles, Coventry University in UK has some low-priced MA in Educational Leadership degrees on Futurelearn: https://www.futurelearn.com/degrees/masters/teaching
That is probably too far from M.Ed.
But if you are in Northern Europe, did you also check what is offered there, it shall be at no cost. Just stumbled upon distance degree Master in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from Malmo University, for example. (Just a random example, I don't have much of an idea about education degrees.)

Unless you are experienced with UoP and their methodology of having the students grade each other, I would recommend you have a backup plan. Many folks go insane with having other students grade their work... And having to do it themselves.

While not as cheap as UoP, WGU is also RA and has some relatively cheap and fast MEd programs that can be done in less than a year if you are able to work fast.

My third suggestion is ACE (American College of Education) an online school based in Indiana.

They offer multiple MEds in multiple fields for under 10,000 USD. which can be completed in about one year.

Also, there is Southeastern Oklahoma State University. 100% online M. Ed programs for around $10,000. RA accredited

Same. Do you know if there is a way to find a course syllabus for any of those classes in that degree? I would just like to see the exact breakdown of what those courses consist of.

If anyone has any general questions about onboarding, their online platform, or the like, I've just started one of Southeastern's M.Ed. programs. Feel free to DM me.

My concern would be whether UoPeople continues to do peer grading, which was a major source of complaints over the years. Also, even without tuition, their M.Ed. page still lists the full degree fees at $5,260. If given the choice and if they're still doing peer grading, I think I'd rather push people towards something like Acacia University's programs. Less is known about them, but the programs look solid and have a very comparable price tag. Yes, they're NA, but that can and will work for many people.
