Lots of credits, which college?
#11
TallC Wrote:I wouldn't be against the BA but with as many credits as I have in Social Sciences, is it a better option? It looks like there would be a slew of other classes I'd have to take according to the site. Am I missing something? I guess I'd have to wait and see what credits I'm given.

I'm not sure what you said that would lead to a business administration degree suggestion, but can you elaborate on your need for the degree? What is your desired occupation? The BA in Social Sciences makes more sense for a career in law enforcement than a business admin degree.
Currently studying for: Still deciding.

2019 - Harvard Extension School - Graduate Certificate Data Science
2018 - Harvard Extension School - Graduate Certificate Cyber Security
2016 - WGU - MBA Mgmt & Strategy
2015 - Thomas Edison State College - BSBA Marketing & CIS

I was originally replying to this:

Quote:I personally recommend people to do a BS in BA when they are interested in it, or want to graduate with minimal prep while being mindful of cost.

Anyway, I already have a pretty good job in law enforcement. Federal gigs typically like you to have an additional skill (business, foreign language, accounting, etc) but I am just looking to finish up. I am missing out on a very sizable monthly bonus by not having a bachelors.

If I feel I need to change gears or do something different, I'll go back and specialize. I'm just currently leaving too much money on the table to have as many credits as I do. Social Sciences just seems like the right fit since that's what almost all my classes are in.

Im not sure why she suggested that. Social science seems to be a sure bet. Can always get the bsba later

Here's my transcript evaluation from TESC. It seems like it is going to be a better option than Charter Oak. Enough so that I'm not going to post the Charter Oak eval.

Can anyone tell me what tests I can use to test this degree out? I also have a NIMS/ICS FEMA certificate that I haven't sent them yet.

Thanks,
TallC

Correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding is that the only residency requirement is that you must have 30 credits from a regionally accredited school. 72 of mine are from a 4-year regionally accredited university.

TESC has three enrollment plans. The per credit plan requires 24 residency credits that must be taken through TESC. These can be courses, PLA, and TECEPs. Look at my signature. I planned in TECEP exams where I could for the remaining requirements (except for Man. Acct.) and I still had to add 4 more to get to the 24 credits.
