Lost - Academic Eval Help for AA General Studies TESU

Long time lurker, I've posted once or twice. Unfortunately, many things have changed since I was last around and I am desperately looking for some guidance.



Having completed several credits at a B&M school and being left unable to finish, due to financial aid reasons, has left me wanting any degree that I can get for the debt that I've already accrued. TESU's AA in General Studies seemed like a viable option because I am only a few requirements away from completion - but I need your help to figure out how to complete these requirements in the most cost effective way possible.

All that I have left is:
Civic Engagement (Not Started)
Ethics (Not Started)
Information Literacy (Not Started)
Oral Communication (Not Started)

Wow, you are so close to graduation of your AA. There's just one question, where did you take the bulk of your courses. If not more than 45 credits from Straighterline, your cheapest and fastest is taking all 4 from them! So, it'll cost just $100 month membership, and $49 each for American Gov, Business Ethics, Intro Religion, $74 (Intro To Communications).

Note, if you take the free ethics course you'll be 1 credit off as its only 2 credits. You can ask for a waiver and take a free credit course like the Kaplan PLA for 3 easy credits, if you have done the PLA already, see if they will accept the TEEX courses in there as those are free too.

Your main issue is going to be the cost for the TESU degree. Right now, you will have to pay $2000 for the Residency Waiver. I think this is a crazy amount to pay for an AA, and I wouldn't do it. If I were you, I would look into COSC and see if that's any cheaper. I think it is (you'll have to pay some fees and take the cornerstone, but I still think it's less than the $2000 fee at TESU).
