Hello everyone,
Is it a good idea to work on professional studies, general studies, or multi-disciplinary studies?

Welcome to the board, it's great asking a question, but it's missing the most important information within the addendum and template, or more details for people to answer you. It's like providing 1/4th of a puzzle and asking someone to complete the puzzle for you, we're missing the remaining pieces... Please fill in the addendum and template here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works
To answer your question, it's a good idea to work on all 3, as that's 3 of the 4 parts of a degree. A part you've not listed is, the electives. Basically, the general studies, electives, and multi-disciplinary classes are roughly 3/4 or 90 credits, the professional or technical is the area of study or major. When you start, you can take a mix/match of classes to get you 3/4 or 90 credits in, the last part to complete is the major.

I would hope you consider the University of the People with its generous credit transfer now that they are RA. https://www.uopeople.edu/programs/online...istration/
If NA is an option, Newlane University now offers a BA in Business: https://newlane.edu/b-a-in-liberal-arts-...istration/
Since you have an associate's degree, it may only cost $1500. However, your associate is in applied science, which may be an issue, but many credits should transfer. https://newlane.edu/transferring-credits...te-faster/
The degree price tag is so reasonable that tuition reimbursement may not be an issue. I personally like the BA in Psychology. https://newlane.edu/b-a-in-liberal-arts-psychology/

I've seen these two before but was not sure. I'll take a look. Thanks

My experience with http://www.Excelsior.edu was great as a military veteran, but they have since increased their residence requirements. There seems to be a lot of success with UMPI mentioned on this forum. Were you a Navy corpsman/medic? Seems like you had an interest in holistic health.

I tried last year to get credits transferred to Excelsior but they were worrying about my military status. Guess they wanted that GI bill. lol! I was in the Marine Corps and was looking for a way to help my body to heal. So, I studied holistic health and practiced massage therapy at a clinic but pay sucked. I'll check that UMPI and see what they got good. Thanks,

Basically, you have an AAS and some Coursera and/or Tech credits, if you're missing a few (you need at least 40), then continue with more Coursera and/or TEEX cheapies or freebies... I would recommend you do the UMPI BAS with a minor or two of your choice and be reimbursed because these minors are either MIS, Management or Project Management, along with the 3-4 classes that go towards the MAOL later. It's the most flexible program (yes, even more flexible than the BLS), just like the BLS, you have 60 credits that can be anything for the electives.

Note that a specialization is less than a major. In the Newlane BA programs mentioned, Liberal Arts is the major and there are just 15 credits in the specialization subject, Business or Psychology. It isn’t really a BA “in” Business or Psychology. A major generally entails 30 credits or more in the major subject.
