I have been reading this forum recently. Thank you all for your excellent suggestions for the completion of a degree for a lot of us who couldn't do it earlier. Please review my earned credits below and kindly help me with a plan. Majority of my credits are from local CC except 8 language credits earned through ACTFL testing.
My ultimate goal is to earn a BA or BS (Business related would be great but anything will work - easier the better). It is important to earn something very soon to update my resume for internal job posting purpose. Is most of the BOG AAS courses transferable for a BA or BS? With that in mind, is it better to go for COSC AA? Will the FEMA credits at COSC work for future enrollment to a BA or BS?

1) The BOG AAS really has nothing to do with any other school. It's independent of those. And, whatever you get there, doesn't really apply to what's transferred to another school, as the next school will want to see your original source of credits (so your CC and the ACTFL/ACE courses). Since you won't be taking any courses at the BOG school, there is nothing to send the next school - you just get your diploma from them and then move on to the next step.
2) The BSBA at TESU won't be able to make use of all of your credits, but most of them, and it's probably the cheapest BSBA around, outside of WGU.
3) Speaking of WGU - I was wrong about the AAS at BOG - WGU will give you something for this, as a block transfer. Not sure if it will cover all of your gen ed, but a lot. BUT, with WGU, most degrees are about 25% Gen Ed's and 75% major courses, so it's not a huge deal (just kind of wipes out specific course requirements in the Gen Ed).
Since you only have 42cr, you're going to need 18 more before you can apply at a BOG school. So really what you'd want to do is determine what BA/BS degree you want to end up with at which school, take your 18cr that will apply to both that school and the BOG degree, and then transfer your courses to the BOG school to get that piece of paper, and continue on with the BA/BS.

This is what I would recommend you to do as well, the BOG AAS and then ladder your work to a TESU BALS. Is there a specific concentration for the BALS you are after? If not, the cheap/easy/fast option is to use Shmoop for English Lit UL AOS and majority of courses, then finish off the degree with Study.com or SL.

From the looks of things, you'll have at least 33 to 37 credits as the developmental courses would not count towards the degrees.
If you're looking for cheap/fast credit, do some CLEP from Modern States, Free courses for the Free Electives, then work on your Saylor/Shmoop/SL/Study.com for the remainder of your degree credits.
Review the Beginners Guide, grab a template I modified from dfrecore or something you can find that she's done recently, and plug in your credits, use that as your reference and tracking template for changes and progress. Use this thread for additional questions and we'll try to assist you further.

Here is the BALS. I wouldn't spend much time on the BOG degree if you don't really need it. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to earn credits for it (so I guess as you do the BALS plan, when you get to 60cr that will fit into the BOG degree, then go ahead and send them).

Thank you for the reply and the BALS spreadsheet.
I want to add some more info. Regarding the cost of the degree, my employer offers tuition reimbursement up to 5000 per year. This can only be used for direct tuition charges though. They will not cover residency waiver etc., and I can easily pay the $100 type charges for Study.com, SL, Shmoop, Saylor, CLEP etc., out of pocket. Another question, is it better to go for BALS or BSBA, AOS in Business/Management etc., ? I am an older person. Any degree would be fine for me even a BOG AAS would be better than my current situation. If it is Business related it would be great for me at work but I am not sure if it would be hard for me to accomplish. Please update your suggestions based on my additional info.

Only you can decide what degree you want to take. BALS is the most flexible. BSBA is a good one to get as well. Lots of very specific requirements there.
Regarding Tuition Reimbursement, my husband has a similar plan - his company will pay for actual courses at a college, but not pay for courses from a course provider like Study.com or SL (no membership-type plans). They also won't pay for exams.
In his case, to get the most out of his tuition reimbursement, it's better for him to go to WGU. He can do a term this year and take half the courses he needs, and then take another term next year and finish. No out-of-pocket costs that way.
For you, you can either look at WGU (they have business degrees) and utilize tuition reimbursement the same way. You could enroll at Patten (also competency-based, and $1300/4-mo term, they have business, Psych, CJ). Or you could continue on with TESU, but enroll in the Comprehensive Tuition Plan. With the Study.com affiliate membership, it's only $6350 for a year and up to 36cr. No residency waiver to pay on that plan. (this deal expires on 6/30/18, so you'd need to decide and enroll before then).
It's really up to you what you decide to do, but there are some good options to enable you to pay as little out of pocket as possible.

Age won't play too much into this, if you have the will to get it done, you can do it. I started this when I was nearing the Big 40, you don't have to worry, use all the resources and the time to get you through this hump. I would recommend doing the TESU BSBA or the BALS as mentioned, both are cheap/easy/fast. I cheer you on my friend, we're here to help!
In regards to your tuition assistance, you'll need to do the capstone anyways, if you prefer to use your tuition reimbursement, take the college classes online for say - the science classes and the labs if you wanted or something along those lines to "learn more" of that topic. Use the ACE credits for those courses you want to blast right through and not too important.

Thank you so much dfrecore and bjcheung77. Your suggestions are extremely valuable for me as you are very familiar with different scenarios. I set up an ACE credit registry today and requested to add my ACTFL credits.
