I'm thinking about changing my plans (from the NationsU plan) and would like to compare the options.
Do any of the competency-based Masters allow Stafford Direct Unsubsidized Loans or Perkins Loans? It would have to be one of those 2 types. If the school is compatible with those loans, it doesn't mean they accept it for their CBE programs.
Or what about other RA programs which can be done in 1 year that take those loans? I believe Amberton can be done in a year and probably takes it, since it's not CBE. I'll contact schools, but I wonder if anyone knows which ones I should be contacting.

Well, that did not last long - bummer - was looking forward to seeing how NationsU worked out for you.

I haven't given up on it for sure. I still want to do it, but I might have to get a loan and get something more "practical" for my situation. I don't expect there to be CBE that accept these 2 loans, so the options will be limiting.

Most CBE programs that have been around for a while have been approved for financial aid. Any program that is approved for financial aid qualifies for all the types of aid available at that level i.e. graduate vs. undergraduate. Schools usually put a disclaimer by newer CBE programs that have not been approved yet. Keep in mind that Patten does not participate in Title IV funding at all.
Not all schools participate in the Perkins loan program, and that has nothing to do with CBE. The cap for unsubsidized loans at the graduate level is over $130k which should be plenty. After that, there are graduate plus loans.
