List of CLEP/DSST Exams For Letter Grades at EC

Hey All!

I'm trying to see if anyone has an updated list of exams that EC will accept for letter grades. My list from the current catalog has exams for grades that have been posted here as now only pass/fail. I'm trying to utilize only those that will transfer into actual grades so if anyone has an updated list or can point me to the location at the EC website I would greatly appreciate it. I just can't seem to find an updated list on the EC website. Is this an EC decision or is it an ACE decision and I need to check with them? I just want to make sure I get current info. Thanks for your help!

CLEP's are strictly pass/fail.

It is my understanding from reading the board that these 10 DSST exams were modified last year and have a new 3 digit scoring system that is now only pass/fail at EC:

Substance Abuse
Introduction to Computing
Ethics in America
Criminal Justice
Personal Finance
Management Information Systems
Here’s to Your Health
Fundamentals of College Algebra
Principles of Statistics
Introduction to World Religions

The rest are on the old 2 digit scoring system and are still graded at EC, like Astronomy and Civil War.

Download EC's "Student Guide to Credit By Exam" (in the Publications section). It lists the current accepted exams and minimum scores.

The DSST exams NAP listed are credited as pass/fail; all the other DSSTs are currently graded. EC awards letter grades for foreign language CLEPs; all other CLEPs are pass/fail.

For graded math and macro/microeconomics credits, you can use Straighterline via Fort Hays.

Oops, you're right, I goofed! The credits awarded for foreign language CLEPs is based on score, but it's all p/f.

I vaguely remember reading an older thread which said you could choose which version of some of the revised DSSTs you wanted to take, and if you opted for the older (2-digit score) one you could get letter-grade credit at Excelsior. Anyone know if this is still true?
