Does anyone know if there are limits on your credit totals at Excelsior. Here is my situation: I need roughly 25 credits remaining to get my BS in Literature. Most of those are pigeonholed as upper level and degree-related credits. So, I really only have a few real electives left. Additionally I plan to take the GRE to add a double major in psychology... I can't be talked out of either of these majors because I feel I've earned them based on my knowledge.
So I will be at around 150 credits with both degrees.
Now, I have recently realized that it might be beneficial to me to continue accumulating non-duplicating credits. Here is why:
1. My GPA might be really close to 3.75, but possibly a few points below. I'm kind of obsessive about losing out on a higher honor by a few points. Some graded DSSTs could help me there.
2. I'm looking at some grad schools for both liberal arts and business. I want to have the option open for business, but it requires 4 undergraduate prerequisite courses in business-related fields, none that I have. I'd much rather get these on my Excelsior transcript.
Ultimately I want to load up on the cheap credit I can transfer to Excelsior to boost my GPA and provide future assets for graduate programs. I do not want to replace prior credits, but just add new ones.
Does anyone know if there is a limitation to the amount of credits you can earn before graduation?
Thanks as always,
Daniel
