Sunshine Wrote:Biology Smart from The Princeton Review really helped me. I had no prior knowledge, and this book was really easy to follow. Welcome and good luck!

Where on the site (Princeton Review) can I find that?

Yep, that's it. It's a quick read, filled with quizzes between the chapters. I also used Biology Demystified, but Biology Smart was the best at helping me connect the info to understand overall functions. I haven't yet come across a college-level science text that doesn't make my eyes hurt.
(I am currently on page 119 of my 900 page Microbiology text. )

Great, thanks. I just ordereda copy of Biology Smart for .92 from Amazon. Hopefully, it will be the bridge between the concepts I have in my head and their applications.

Wow, if I hear the word "DNA" one more time............

Just thought I'd give an update...

I got my copy of Biology Smart the other day and it's great. After reading all of REA, outlining the entire thing into a 45 page study guide, taking those exams, Peterson's and IC flash cards, the book really helps tie it all together. Sometimes I even think it's written a little too elementary like. It definately doesn't go into detail, but gives a good summary of everything.

It's a really fast, enjoyable read and I highly recommend it!

Have you thought about getting a high school text. Know it might sound stupid but it is easier to read and put in more simple terms, yet the knowledge is still gained. Had a niece try to learn by using high school level text versus college level and she did gain the knowledge she needed for the advance test and passed.

Hey ODU.

I took Biology, Using InstantCert and Petersons.

If you want a good study guide that will get you there as well and be easy on the eyes.

I recommend "Finish College Fast" Biology. 34.99 but worth the price of admission and most importantly covers the test objectives.

I failed chemistry and when I looked at my study guide from Finish College Fast. It was clear the stuff on the test was covered in the study guide. I just didnt pay attention. I got to busy using other materials and didnt even take the practice test in their guide. I made a mistake. A mistake I quickly corrected with Technical Writing, see my score.

Remember its a 115 question test. My chemistry test was 75. That just means you can pass with a lower percentage due to the fact there are more questions.

Make an effort to really understand whats in the cards and you will be fine.

Happy Hunting!
Cool
