WWU DBA Journey

AACSB accreditation will take years and lots of funds. It's not going to happen for at least 5 years unless WWU already has the framework for that kind of review

They went up ACBSP recently so as far as learning objections and the documentation part, iI assume there would be no problem. There biggest hurdle (IMO) would be bringing on tenure track faculty with the right doctorates.

Interesting, they already have ACBSP, I wonder why they'll go for AACSB as well, ACBSP should be sufficient for most people... https://www.williamwoods.edu/about/accre...index.html

Unexpected update!

They are adding a PhD in Business Admin.

This adds one class to the curriculum, and your dissertation has to be theoretical... I'm emailing tonight to try and switch over.

I’m currently in week two of Econ for Managers and this class is a bit much. There’s a ton of busy work every week like a 400-word discussion post, a 5-7 page application paper, and a 15-minute video slideshow presentation with voiceover. On top of that, there’s a 12-18 page paper due at the end of the five-week course. It definitely feels like a crunch compared to my other classes, but the material itself has been pretty straightforward so far. I’m just grinding through it and trying to stay on top of everything.

That sounds like quite a bit of work to get completed in 5 weeks.

It definately is. I figure the instructor just squashed their 8-week class into 5. At least I only have 3 more weeks till "decision making and analytics" which seems like it will be a little bit fun.
