Least time spent on testing
#1
I just took DSST Intro to Bussiness and spend less then 20 minutes doing it. I wasn't trying to rush but it seems that I test fast(maybe that's why I've gotten cursed with 49 2 times? Confusedmilelol: ). 20 to 30 minutes is very typical for me when it comes to the CLEPS I've taken.
Does anyone here test quickly for some strange reason?

I average between 30 and 40 minutes for testing, not sure if that is a good thing or not.
My friend is a 20 minute tester.

This is an 'it depends' question. Whatever works for you is the best way.

Some tests involve a lot of reading (A&I Literature was the longest test to take for me - nearly the full time). Some tests will involve highly focused and 'obvious' answers, depending on your experience (Information Systems & CA was probably my quickest test at around 30 mins). Other tests will be somewhere inbetween, usually just under an hour for me.

If you have the time, and you realise that one question has triggered a definite solution to a previous question you didn't answer, obviously go back to it to answer. There is some general advice which recommends that a test taker shouldn't second-guess themselves once a question is reasonably answered but this isn't right for everyone (although it absolutely works for me).

If you're going through tests so quickly, are you picking the first answer you recognise or are you picking the answer you know is correct? If you don't know the correct answer, are you trying to eliminate incorrect answers?

It's all good experience and provided you keep going you will get there Smile

edit: Just to add a bit of value: for tests where there is a source reference passage/diagram/graph/etc, I usually look at the question first before the source so I know what to focus on. Again, it depends on the test and the test taker. Go with what works for you.

Intro to biz, principles of supervision, info systems, miis, organizational behavior and marketing were all very fast for me but it was because I already knew the material very well due to working and prior tests.
